The CAC met with a family, in which a Forensic Interview was completed on a four year old victim. Thereafter, the CAC worked in a multidisciplinary team approach with Law Enforcement, Department of Children and Families, County Attorney’s Office, Medical and Mental Health Providers through the entirety of the case through prosecution.
The CAC provided consistent, intensive advocacy services in which included helping the family obtain appropriate finances to relocate to safe, appropriate housing with a unique community resource and helped find and utilize resources for needs including mental health services and daycare services.
The family was able to begin healing with a fresh start and saw prosecution of both perpetrators, including a sentencing of 260 months and another of 60 months.
