A CAC Family Advocate met with a victim and her current kinship placement on behalf of needs. These requests consisted of basic hygiene items such as shampoo, body wash, personal hygiene items, and other toiletry items. SOS was able to provide all of these items, as well as weather-appropriate clothing to the family due to generous donations from the community.
Providing basic needs to this family in need, elevated monetary stressors until additional relief was provided by the contracting agency for the child in need of care. The family expressed numerous times thereafter their gratefulness for the generosity and respect given by SOS.
