SOS Support Groups

Rising and Thriving Group | Facilitated by Bryanna

This group is designed for adult survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking, child abuse and/or neglect to have the opportunity to connect with others. This group utilizes activities, community partner presenters, and more to build community & connection after violence & trauma.

This is an open English adult group – participants may attend one, all, or anywhere in between.

Wednesdays bi-weekly: 5:00PM-6:00PM

Things to know:

1. You must be registered to attend.

2. Please arrive a few minutes early to start on time.

3. A Confidentiality Agreement must be completed.

4. Support groups are confidential & guests are not allowed.

5. Childcare may be available for children of adult group attendees, but space must be reserved by three days prior to the group.

SOS Latinx Support Group | Facilitated by Meribel

The purpose of our SOS Latinx Support Group is to provide Spanish-speaking clients with a culturally sensitive connection that empowers them to continue their personal growth in an informal and shared, yet confidential setting.

● 4 groups per year.

● Each group will be completed in 5 meetings. One Tuesday every other week.

Spring Group: 5:00 PM - 7:00PM

Things to know:
  1. To register please call Meribel at 620-342-1870.

  2. Attendees will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement the first time they join the group.

  3. Attendees will be asked to sign an attendance list upon their arrival at each meeting.

  4. Childcare may be available for children of adult group attendees, but space must be reserved by three days prior to the group.

  5. No guests will be allowed to attend any support group.

  6. A support group survey will be completed at the end of the last group meeting.

SOS Grupo de Apoyo Hispano | Facilitado por Meribel

El propósito del grupo de apoyo que ofrece SOS a la comunidad hispana es proveer a cada asistente una conexión respetuosa de su cultura dentro de un ambiente informal, compartido y confidencial que lo invite a continuar su crecimiento personal.

  • 4 grupos por año.

  • Cada grupo se completará en 5 reuniones.

  • Cada reunión se llevará a cabo un martes cada dos semanas.

Cosas que debes saber:
  1. Para registrarse deberá llamar a Meribel al 620-342-1870.

  2. Cada participante firmará un acuerdo de confidencialidad la primera vez que asista a un grupo.

  3. Cada participante firmará una lista de asistencia al llegar a cada reunión.

  4. No se aceptará que los participantes registrados traigan invitados.

  5. Se proveerá cuidado a los niños acompañantes de los adultos asistentes a las reuniones siempre que la asistencia de tales niños haya sido confirmada tres días laborales antes de la reunión.

  6. Se le pedirá a cada participante que llene una encuesta sobre el funcionamiento del grupo de apoyo al final de la última reunión.

This group is designed for adult survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking, child abuse and/or neglect to have the opportunity to connect with others. This group utilizes books of various authors to explore and learn about ourselves, behaviors, and promote change.

This is a closed group – participants must attend all group dates.

Wednesdays bi-weekly: 5:00PM-6:00PM

April 9 | April 23 | May 7 | May 21 | June 4 | June 18 | July 16 | July 30
