SOS staff joined representatives from Newman Regional Health and various local agencies to celebrate the installation of new equipment to support the Sexual Assault Nursing Examiner (SANE) program. $40,000 worth of new technology donated by SOS will support SANE nurses who are available 24-7 to meet with sexual assault survivors and collect forensic evidence. A telemedicine camera, light source, and specialized chair were purchased using the funds, which were made available to SOS through the Office on Violence Against Women.
SOS is pleased to partner with Newman Regional Health and other local agencies to support survivors of sexual assault. Hear more about the reception on KVOE's coverage of the event.
Survivors of sexual and domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, child abuse and neglect can contact the SOS hotline 24 hours a day at 1-800-825-1295.
